The Mexican writer and editor, Alberto Ruy Sánchez, will talk on the different uses of the Spanish that an author can do.
Born in Mexico in 1951, he studied in Paris, wrote in Morocco, taught in Stanford and Banff, Canada and has published 26 books, which includes the novels The Secret Gardens of Mogador, The Names of the Air and Poetics of Wonder. He has been awarded France's Officier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, by the Swiss Festival Poestate 2015 for his poetry and by the University of Louisville as Honorary Captain of La Belle de Louisville, the oldest steamship navigating the Mississippi River. He is also the editor of Latin America's leading arts magazine, Artes de Mexico.
